WALT: recount an event from our week.

This week my class have been using our Acer and samsung chromebooks/netbooks. I love using netbooks because you can insert photos in  your work and it is better than writing in books with paper and pens and  it take longer to write.

WOW word

WALT: Use exciting language to make sentences more interesting.

Read the sentence, then on the line below rewrite the sentence using more exciting language. You can add more detail to the sentence if you think that will make it more interesting!

If you get stuck, use a thesaurus to find words that have the same meaning but a bit more WOW factor! Here is the link to one.

2. After school Luke went to get an ice-cream, it tasted nice.

After a long boring day at school Luke got a freezing cold ice cream. It was delicious

5.During the rugby game, the audience was loud.

During the rugby game the audience was was yelling like crazy

7.Lucy went to the movies, she said it was a scary movie.

Lucy went to the big movie theaters and and watch a spine chilling movie, she said it was horrifying

8.His face had a big beard on it.

There was a big brown hairy beard glued to his face  

The team were talking loudly on the sideline.

9.It was a hot day so the students found bikes hard.

It was a burning hot day and student found it hard to exercise on there bikes

10.It was a sunny day

It was a bright yellow sunny day

11.It was raining  heaps

It was pouring down cold fresh with rain.

Studyladder

In my class we use a learning website called Studyladder. On studyladder we do maths reading English and other subjects. Our teacher sets us task and every question we get right we get 1 coin and for every activity we finish we get ten points.
