Once upon a time there was a prince called Siddhartha. Siddhartha was always thinking about problems in the world. One day when he was 16 years old he left the palace and went to the forest to meditate to get his answer. He meditated and meditated then one day he got his answer. Just do your duties and do not desire for too many thing. And through meditation he found out unhappiness comes through desire. Monks now follow the preachings of buddha.

My Taniwha is brave,strong and mighty.

It is green,red,orange and yellow and also has a bit dark green,blue and purple. My Taniwha protects me when I am not with my parents and when I am at school my Taniwha loves swimming and wandering around in the bushes. I see my Taniwha after school and when I am not with my parents. I love my Taniwha and my Taniwha loves me.!

Tamaki primary Whole school Boot camp-By Levi

On Tuesday the 21st of July,2015 My school had a whole school boot camp.After Morning tea my teacher Mrs.Sharma told my class to wait for her on the Blue Benches.

When Mrs. Sharma finally came outside she told us to line up in our teams Benghazi, Tripoli,Alamein and Tobruk.After we were arranged into our teams other classes came out.We were told to sit in our teams on the dots outside the office.Miss Kyla told us what we were doing and new our school topic “Practicing peaceful play”. We had to do Burpees,lunges,sit ups skipping,high knees,push ups,squats,medicine balls,jogging,hula hoops,bunny hops and star jumps.I found the sit ups a bit hard  but it was fun!. My favorite activity was the Medicine balls because we had to run with the medicine ball and back,it was really heavy.It was a sizzling hot.When we were finished doing the boot camp we had to go back to the dots in our teams and lisen to Miss Kyla.

The person that helped me the most was a girl in my school called Raena.She helped me with the sit ups and told me how to do the things that I did not know how to do.

I felt surprised,dehydrated,hungry and exhausted. It was so fun and I hope we do it again.I had a great day the sun was shining like a diamond in the sky.

The first time I went on my bike

“ Don’t ride your bike unless I’m around’’  my Dad said. “ Ohhh” don’t you moan to me little young lady “okay” I groaned.I looked around,it was quiet and nobody was around;I looked at my brand new bike I was too excited to go on my bike so when everyone was watching TV I ran to my bike and got onto it and… OFF  I went down the driveway onto the foot path “oh no”  I shouted. Out onto the road I went RRHH went the brake on my brake as I hit the brake fast.Out ran my Mum and Dad.I glanced back as my parents were approaching me.My Dad ran as fast as he could.As he ran a loud Beep beep.”oh no”  my Mum screamed. “STOP” my Dad shouted. “RRHH” a loud screech went. It sounded like like someone applied the car brake. When we were walking up the driveway my Dad was yelling at me “ I told you not to ride your bike unless I’m around” “sorry” I wept.”Don’t do that again” my Mum  kept repeating.When I was inside I lay on my bed relieved that I was safe.In came my Dad “sorry I didn’t listen” I wept. “Its okay’’ my Dad said.”I will take you to the park tomorrow morning to ride your bike”.The driver of the car had just stopped in time. I came out without a scratch.
